Debb Truman
FINANCIAL SECURITY ADVISOR
INVESTMENT REPRESENTATIVE
Debbie has been providing financial advice to clients in Eastern Ontario since 1989, when she started her career with Freedom 55 Financial (F55F) from the Belleville office. She is a long time member of Advocis, (a national association related to the life insurance and investment field) and has held past positions on their Board, including Programme Chair. Debbie continues to upgrade her education by attending seminars which are valuable to her business and in 2015, enrolled in the Elder Planning course (along with Gary and Nancy from our team).  In a move as part of her commitment in helping to provide specialized financial guidance to her clients even with the most complex of cases; she joined Lighthouse Wealth Management in October of 2014 and continues to work out of the Belleville F55F office facilities.  Debbie finds volunteering an important part of her life including taking a week from her busy schedule to volunteer at a children’s camp every summer which she finds very rewarding. Plus, her and husband Larry are involved with the Belleville Shrine Club.
Debbie also enjoys her time with family, her 2 daughters and three grandchildren and is very involved with their singing and sports and camping.

Dave Sharp B.Sc., CFP, EPC
Founding Partner – Lighthouse Wealth Management
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, ELDER PLANNING COUNSELOR
INVESTMENT REPRESENTATIVE

After growing up in nearby Campbellford, Dave graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.Sc. diploma in 1975. Dave spent the next 18 years in the chemical sales & service field working his career up to role as V.P. of Sales and Marketing for a multi-million dollar chemical firm. The company was sold in 1993 and he opted to consider a career change and so joined London Life in summer of 1993 in the Belleville-Campbellford-Cobourg corridor.
Dave is a huge believer in continuing education and is fully qualified with numerous licenses. In mid-99, he obtained his Certified Financial Planners (CFP) designation (this is like having a Masters Degree in personal, business and estate financial needs). By 2007, he had achieved his Elder Planning Counselor Designation (EPC) designation (meaning he has taken extensive courses on working with Elders – not only with their financial assets but Elders in all the physiological and psychological characteristics they have). Dave is 100+% Committed to his Clients but at the same time, freely giving his time in the training of new and younger Financial Security Advisors. He is a regular contributor to technical articles and presenter of numerous seminars.
Contributing back to the community has always been important to Dave. He can claim he has been a Rotarian (since 1994) & is a Past President (1997-98 and again in 2012-2013); he was a Past Assistant District Governor of Rotary’s District 7070 (2007-08). He has held the position of Secretary at both the Rotary Club of Brighton and the Rotary Club of Campbellford. Dave was also active in the Brighton & District Chamber of Commerce (1998-2003 and President in 2000-2002). In 2007, when the Friends of Presqu’ile Park needed help in fundraising for their Marsh Board Walk project, Dave through his associations with Lighthouse Wealth Management was able to obtain a substantial contribution from Freedom 55 Financial as a corporate sponsor. In 2011, Dave was highly instrumental in fundraising that resulted in the construction of a splash pad for the youngsters here in Brighton. In late 2012, a new association was formed to restore the local lighthouse and Dave was right there from the beginning as a Marketing Director for the Presqu’ile Point Lighthouse Preservation Society. No wonder, Dave was bestowed the honour of the “2015 Citizen of the Year” earlier this year.
Dave is married to his wife, Jean, since 1973. Not surprisingly, the entire family are huge 5 Pin Bowling fans and are avid summer campers often involving the two granddaughters that hold a special spot in Dave’s heart.
Today, as the Founder and Senior Managing Partner of Lighthouse Wealth Management, Dave is actively working with those interested in protecting and maximizing what they have worked hard to establish.

Gary Sharp B.Sc., FSA
Associate Advisor – Lighthouse Wealth Management
FINANCIAL SECURITY ADVISOR
INVESTMENT ADVISOR

Gary graduated from University of Guelph with a B.Sc. but after watching his father enjoy the freedom (and responsibilities) of an entrepreneur, he decided to take the path of being his own boss. Thus, he and a business partner opened up Presqu’ile Lanes and Family Restaurant in 2000. Although Gary and his partner decided to free up some time by closing the restaurant portion, Presqu’ile Lanes is doing quite well providing 5-Pin Bowling programs for hundreds of people in Brighton. He has found out that success only comes with hard work. In 2005, they were awarded “Business Owner of the Year For Small Businesses” which is presented by our local Chamber of Commerce.
In early 2013, Gary opted to become fully licensed as a Financial Security Advisor and so, began working under Dave here at Lighthouse Wealth Management. His responsibility is the servicing and promotion of our various financial products in our clientele base. Today, as a Junior Partner of Lighthouse Wealth Management, Gary works predominantly in the family market working with those interested in protecting family incomes and providing a road map for their financial future.
When not bowling in various 5-Pin Bowling tournaments (he was a team member that won the Master Bowler’s Association Canadian championships in 2004); he enjoys fishing, camping and travelling to various destinations.
